Improved Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) helps to provide a healthy and productive environment for students, teachers, and staff and to assists a school in its core mission - educating children.

The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires public schools and not-for-profit private schools to identify asbestos in their facilities, develop a management plan to reduce the hazards posed by asbestos, and periodically inspect their facilities for asbestos containing material. In addition, AHERA requires that plans for asbestos removal or repair work by prepared by an accredited asbestos project designer.
